Privacy Policy

How Reborder handles player profiles, game records, and browser storage.

Last updated: 2026-10-24

Scope and contact

This policy describes how Reborder at playreborder.com handles information when you play, create an account, appear on a leaderboard, or contact us. For privacy questions or requests, email support@playreborder.com.

Information used to run the game

Guest identity and profile. Playing as a guest creates a player identifier and a cookie that lets this browser return to that player. We store your nickname, any country or region you choose, your time zone, and activity timestamps. Country and time-zone suggestions may come from approximate location information supplied by our hosting provider. You can change or clear your country selection; it is not proof of nationality or residence.

Game records. We store game sessions, submitted drawings, puzzles played, scores, timings, and completion information. These records let us score drawings on the server, restore progress, show results, and calculate leaderboards. An unfinished drawing can also be saved locally in your browser before you submit it.

Optional accounts. If you register, we process the name, email address, and authentication information needed for your account. Password sign-in uses a stored password hash. If a third-party sign-in option is available and you use it, we receive the identity information it supplies, such as an account identifier, email address, name, or profile image. Sign-in sessions may also record an IP address and browser information for authentication and security.

Support messages. If you email us, we receive your address, the message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to understand and respond to your request.

What other players can see

Leaderboards display public player information, including nicknames, player identifiers, scores, rankings, and relevant game statistics. Country or region information can appear on the Daily leaderboard. Choose a nickname you are comfortable sharing publicly.

Your email address, password information, private sign-in credentials, IP address, and submitted drawing coordinates are not displayed on public leaderboards. If you copy or share a result yourself, the information included in that result becomes visible wherever you share it.

Why we use this information

We use player and game information to provide the game, recognize returning players, maintain progress, link an optional account, and calculate fair and consistent scores. Profile preferences support regional rankings and local time displays. Authentication and technical information help us protect accounts, limit abusive requests, investigate errors, and keep the service available. Support correspondence is used to answer questions and resolve reported problems.

Cookies, browser storage, and analytics

Essential cookies maintain guest identity and account sign-in. Browser storage remembers preferences such as your selected Unlimited region, display theme, and current drawing draft. Blocking or clearing this storage can sign you out, remove a local draft, or prevent you from returning to an unlinked guest player. It does not automatically delete records already stored on the server.

Analytics services are loaded only when configured for the site. These may include Google Analytics or Plausible and may process page views, referring pages, device or browser information, and general usage information. Their operation depends on the service enabled and its settings.

When a cookie choice banner is enabled, it records your choice for up to one year. For Google Analytics, rejecting optional cookies denies analytics storage through Consent Mode; Google may still receive measurements without analytics cookies. Plausible, when enabled, is loaded separately from that cookie choice. A cookie choice is therefore not a switch that blocks every network request. See Google's explanation of Consent Mode for its behavior.

You can also use browser controls to manage site storage and restrict third-party requests. Essential game and authentication storage is separate from optional analytics choices.

Service providers and technical information

Hosting, database, authentication, and email services process information needed to deliver their functions. Our hosting infrastructure can receive IP addresses and request details when your browser connects. The game uses approximate country and time-zone information for suggestions, and temporary derived identifiers for request limits; it does not put your raw IP address in your public player profile.

If you choose a third-party sign-in provider or an enabled analytics service is used, that provider also processes information under its own privacy terms. Providers may process information in countries other than yours. We may disclose relevant information when required by applicable law or when necessary to investigate abuse and protect the service or its users.

How long records remain

Guest players become eligible for cleanup after 90 days without activity. Maintenance expires their guest access and removes editable profile details and original game records in batches, so removal may not occur at the exact 90-day mark. Registered players are not subject to that guest cleanup rule.

Archived leaderboard results can remain after a guest expires or player identities are merged. They preserve the public nickname, player identifier, country or region, and results recorded at the time. These historical records support the Daily all-time rankings; changing your current profile does not automatically rewrite them. Expired guests leave the live Unlimited exploration leaderboard.

Account and registered-player records remain while needed to provide the account and saved game history. Support and security records are retained according to the need to resolve a request, investigate abuse, or meet applicable legal obligations. Contact us if you want information about a particular record or wish to request its deletion.

Your choices and requests

You can play without registering, edit your nickname and profile preferences, and clear your country selection. Linking a guest player to an account can preserve access across devices; clearing browser cookies alone cannot recover an unlinked guest identity.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact support@playreborder.com. We may need information to verify that the records belong to you. Please do not send your password, sign-in code, or private session credentials. You may also be able to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security and policy updates

We use access controls, protected session credentials, and server-side checks to limit unauthorized access. No online service can guarantee that information will never be lost or accessed improperly. Tell us if you believe your account or player access has been compromised.

We may update this policy as the game or its data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the site when appropriate.
