Using the game

These terms apply to Reborder at playreborder.com. By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. You must be able to agree to these terms under the laws that apply to you, or have permission from a parent or guardian where required.

Reborder is a free browser geography game. Daily offers a shared set of timed puzzles; Unlimited offers untimed rounds from a finite puzzle collection. Leaderboards are for recreation. Rankings do not represent a prize, payment, qualification, or guaranteed measure of geographic knowledge.

Your player identity and account

You may play as a guest or use an account when registration is available. Keep your sign-in details private, use an email address you control, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not impersonate another person or use a misleading or abusive public nickname.

Guest access depends on browser storage. Clearing cookies, changing browsers, or losing access to an unlinked guest session can prevent you from returning to that player. Inactive guest records are subject to the retention rules in our Privacy Policy. Account linking and merging can affect which current records belong to your player; archived leaderboard entries may remain under their original identity.

Play fairly and respect the service

Please draw your own answers and treat other players respectfully. You must not:

• Manipulate submissions, bypass timers, forge scores, or exploit a fault to distort rankings.
• Use automated play or repeated requests to disrupt the service or gain an unfair leaderboard advantage.
• Attempt to access another player's private records, credentials, or account.
• Send malicious code, overload the service, or interfere with its security controls.
• Use public profile fields to harass others, publish private information, or share unlawful material.

We may restrict access or remove abusive profile content or invalid results when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security issues, or legal requirements. If you believe a restriction or result is mistaken, email us with enough detail to investigate.

Scores, progress, and availability

Scores are calculated by the game's drawing algorithm and may differ from your own assessment of a border. Timing, connectivity, browser behavior, and simplified map shapes can affect play. We may correct errors, update the puzzle collection, or change gameplay and ranking rules. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or permanent storage of every drawing, result, or guest identity.

We aim to keep the game usable, but maintenance, faults, or circumstances outside our control may interrupt access. We may modify or discontinue features, with notice when reasonably practicable. Any material change to these terms will be reflected in the date above and highlighted on the site when appropriate.

Maps, credits, and other rights

This site is an independent implementation inspired by the border-drawing gameplay at reborder.app. It is not that project's official website and is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.

Our game uses historical geographic data that has been simplified and projected for drawing puzzles. Maps may omit islands, territories, or complex border sections. They are not authoritative or up-to-date boundary references and should not be used for navigation, legal decisions, or claims about sovereignty.

Map datasets and third-party materials remain subject to their respective licenses and rights. See the map data sources and licenses. These terms do not replace those licenses or give you rights to third-party names or marks. You may share your own game results; any reuse of site code, graphics, or other materials must respect the applicable permissions and licenses.

Privacy and responsibility

Our Privacy Policy explains player information, public rankings, cookies, and retention. Avoid putting personal or sensitive information in a public nickname or a shared result.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the game is provided as available, without a promise that it will be error-free or fit for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the game where the law permits such an exclusion. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.
